April 18, 2012, Wed 6-8 pm.  Membership Meeting.  Speaker will be Spokane Country Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich.  Topics to include evictions, problem tenants, domestic violence calls, and answering your questions. Timber Creek Grill & Buffet, 9211 E. Montgomery, Spokane.  $13.14 at door includes dinner, beverage and tax.  Guests welcome.

May 17, Wed 6-8 pm.  Membership Meeting.  Gina Ferraiuolo, Sales Director, ServiceMaster Commercial Restoration & Construction Services.  The topic is “How to Handle Disasters in your Rental Properties.”  Included are mold and water damage, fire and smoke damage, trauma or death in your rental unit, hoarding problems and clean-up.  Timber Creek Grill & Buffet, 9211 E. Montgomery, Spokane.  $13.14 at the door includes dinner, beverage and tax,  Guests welcome.  Annual election for LLA Board of Directors seats.  One vote per membership.

2012 LLA Classes For Landlords
3rd Wednesday of the month

Location: All classes held at Global Credit Union Downstairs Auditorium, 1520 W. 3rd, Spokane, WA

Note to non-members:  Due to classroom size and fire regulations, classes at the Global Credit Union site have to be limited to LLA members, their employees or guests.  Thank you for understanding. Other organizations that wish to have landlord law training may contact the attorneys below to arrange for workshops or classes tailored to their needs.

• February 15, Wednesday 6-8 pm.  Landlord Law Part II.  Serving notices; Evictions, Social Media Topics How to dispose of abandoned property; Unauthorized occupants; Updating your screening methods; Robert Rowley, landlord attorney.

• March 21, Wednesday – 6-8 pm Landlord Law Part III.  Additional Topics; Roommate leases and problems, Medicinal Marijuana, Service Animals, Military deployment of tenants, and other topics of current concern. Eric Steven, landlord attorney.

All legal and study materials provided.  Buffet table at no cost.
Pitch-in dishes and desserts welcome. Come as you are after work
